EU Releases Dihydroquercetin Extract
As a New Food Ingredient
For Food and Beverages
On March 21, 2018, the European Commission issued (EU) Regulation No. 2017/461, authorizing the taxifolin-rich extract as a European Parliament and Council (EC) No. 2015/2283. New food ingredients are placed in the EU market and the European Commission Regulations (EU) 2017/2470 are revised.
What Is Dihydroquercetin?
Dihydroquercetin is extracted from the roots of centennial larch in Changbai Mountain Natural Ecological Protection Area. It is a natural bioflavonoid "polymer" essence, belonging to the vitamin P family. Because of its special molecular structure, it has five phenolic hydroxyl groups, which can fully resist oxidation, effectively remove free radicals and toxins, perfectly repair cells, improve microcirculation, purify blood and detoxify, strengthen vital organs, improve immunity, whiten skin and so on. It has anti-cancer, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-allergic, anti-radiation and other effects.
